On the Rails Accepted to MTP 2016
Three years ago I was dropped off at a train station in Grand Junction, Colorado and hitched a ride with The Millennial Trains Project (MTP) back down to Denver. It was a trip filled with learning, breaking down barriers and talking to amazing millennials.
Today I’m happy to say that my project On the Rails has been accepted for a 2016 MTP journey. This journey will take millennials across the continental US by train.
In a couple months, I hope to be traveling by train from Los Angeles → San Francisco → Denver → Milwaukee → and Detroit with like-minded millennials. While on the train, I’ll be uncovering the stories of inspiring founders (one from each city). These founders are carving their own path and following a passion. After the trip, I’ll compose a 6-episode feature sharing their stories.
I’ve been a small part of the Colorado entrepreneurial community for about 3 years now and it has been an experience that has truly changed me. Getting to meet and hear from the founders behind innovate, passionate and just good companies has rocked me to my core. It’s been nothing short of inspirational. Their struggles and their triumphs have showcased what it means to persevere and believe in something so strongly that you’ll keep at it.
That’s what I’m trying to do, I’m keeping at it in order to secure my seat and full-fill On the Rails. In order to do this I will be crowd-funding to reach my goal, along with the other MTP participants. Consider being a part of the story and supporting On the Rails.
A little be more about MTP:
MTP is a game changer. As a is an award-winning 501(c)3 non-profit organization MTP leads transcontinental train journeys for young innovators to explore America’s new frontiers.
